REPRESENTATION OF AGE

In the lesson, we discussed the different stereotypes we attach to age. Broadly speaking, you could divide age into:

CHILDREN
TEENAGERS (and maybe young adults)
ADULTS (25-60)
ELDERLY

Remember that the stereotypes we attached are largely negative, and also are really conditioned by the people who MAKE the  media.

We explored the representation of AGE in this Skins clip.

HOWEVER, bear in mind that if age comes up in the exam, your clip will contain a variety of ages, so that you can draw differences.
